.PH represents the official domain extension or the internet country code top level domain (ccTLD) of the Philippines. Registration is relaxed, unrestricted and open not just to citizens and businesses in the Philippines but to foreign nationals as well. It was introduced in 1990 and fast becoming a popular domain suffix in this territory since then. Registry is managed by dotPH Domains Inc.
Aside from usage as Philippines’ two-letter country code, PH is also used as an acronym to other words. Popular definitions of PH include potential of hydrogen (Chemistry), public health (science), potassium hydrogen (chemistry), plant hygrophelia (botany), Pokemon heart (mobile game), and Prahova (city).
There is no special process needed to register a .PH domain name, no special action is needed on your end.

A .ph domain name is the official country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Philippines. It was introduced during the early days of DoNotCall.ph, where email was first used to contact consumers in relation to the National DO NOT CALL Registry.
Anyone who wants to have an official presence in the Philippines can use it, just like the case of other country codes, such as .com/.net/.org/.biz/, etc. However, there are restrictions on some subdomains of the .ph domain:
.com.ph – only for commercial entities and organizations
.edu.ph – for higher education institutions, learning institutions, students of such; can also be used by government agencies
.gov.ph – only for the Philippine Government and its instrumentalities
.k12.ph – no restrictions whatsoever (i.e., even for private use)
.mil.ph – only for the Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP)
.net.ph – for network service operators, ISPs, telecommunications services providers; or computer-related companies (i.e., IT related); can also be used by government agencies
.org.ph – for non-profit organizations
.web.ph – for websites operated by PH domain owners, as well as those who are not necessarily based in Philippines but have a presence there.
At present, this ccTLD is managed by PH Registry Services, an ISP company working hand-in-hand with dotPH Domains Inc.; a private company that manages domain name registration services. dotPH Domains Inc. is mandated to provide technical oversight to the registry, while PH Registry Services is tasked to administer the registration of domain names.
The best approach to take when choosing a .ph domain name is to make it simple, concise, memorable, and descriptive. However, since the .ph domain names are restricted on a subdomain basis (e.g., only .com.ph can be used by merchants), you may want to consider these limitations upon choosing your ideal .ph domain name:
If you need all subdomains available for your business, you can register a generic top-level domain (gTLD).
If you need more than one subdomain for your business, you can choose from the list of available and unrestricted gTLDs.
If there's no single domain name that would best describe or identify your business, then just get whatever domain name that's available and best describes your business.
The primary difference between .com.ph and .ph is that the former is for businesses, while the latter – which is more popular – can be used by any website owner who wants to have an official presence in the Philippines (i.e., .com.ph for commercial use and .ph for general use).
According to dotPH Domains Inc., the below information must be provided before you can register a .ph/com.ph domain name:
For individuals – scan of the first page and the last page of your passport with photo prominently displayed, or any government-issued ID that contains both your signature and photograph
For corporations – Certificate of Incorporation from SEC, together with Board Resolution authorizing the registration of the domain name(s)
For partnerships – Partnership Contract, duly notarized
For associations/organizations – Memorandum of Articles of Incorporation or By-Laws; Board Resolution authorizing the registration of the domain name(s); and current certification from Head of Juridical Entity.
The minimum price to pay for a .ph domain name registration is PHP 1500 (US$30).
