.SK represents the official domain extension or the internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) of Slovakia. This ccTLD was introduced in the market in 1993 and was intended for entities with Slovak affiliation. SK-NIC is the authorized body for carrying out its registry.

WHO regulates .sk domain name?
The registry that controls the registration of Slovakia's ccTLDs is "Slovenská informačná služba" or Slovak Information Service in English. This organization also has control over who gets to register a .sk domain name.
This means that just about anyone with a valid reason to have one can register these ccTLDs.

When choosing the perfect .sk web address for your business, you should consider that most Slovak companies use an English version of their website and therefore prefer using corresponding domains in other languages than Czech or Slovak.

This requirement has to be met by both natural and legal persons. The Slovak Information Service (SIS) also requests that all international applicants provide an official translation of the registration document.
To register a domain in Slovakia, the registrant needs to have a Slovak address or valid business registration/license from the National court of Slovakia.
This is required by law and enforced through administrative procedures conducted by MNO.
What documents do you need to register .sk Domain Name?
You will be required to provide a valid Slovak company registration number, VAT ID, or other equivalency from the state where your business is registered if applicable.
In addition, you must supply an officially translated version of this document and a copy in electronic form as a PDF file.
