.TJ represents the official domain extension or the internet country code top level domain (ccTLD) of Tajikistan. It was introduced in 1995 and was intended for entities with connection to this territory. Information Technology Center is the authorized body for carrying out its registry. Buying a .TJ domain suffix is processed via an accredited registrar such as Marcaria.com; however, registration is currently suspended.
Aside from usage as Tajikistan’s two-letter country code, TJ is also used as an acronym for other words. Popular meanings of TJ include: Tijuana (city), tomato juice (beverage), Tommy Jeans (label/brand name), Tribunal de Justiça (government) and Junction Temperature (medicine).

.tj domain name will be a distinctive brand identifier among local and international internet users.
Conventional .com and other top-level domains (TLDs) often convey an impression of limited global reach and/or association with a particular country outside of its target market.
A Tajikistan-specific TLD consequently maximizes global reach and appeal by avoiding the "geographic limitations" of a conventional TLD.
A locally relevant domain name is important for national online identity, especially in a country where most people have limited knowledge about computers or do not regularly use them.
The local relevance that a .tj domain offers over a .com or other conventional TLD may prove valuable for many local, regional and international Tajik Internet users.
This domain is simple and easy to remember, making it an effective mode of online branding.
A Cyrillic alphabet makes the .tj domain name a familiar choice for native speakers of Tajik.
.tj is available for registration on .TJ registry. You can register any name you want for your business, corporation, or personal use.
The .TJ Registry is administered by the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The .TJ Registry is operated under an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and pursuant to an operational contract with ROSHN, managed by the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
They are responsible for managing this gTLD in accordance with the policies set forth by IANA and within the confines of the laws of Tajikistan, in English and Russian.
